Every Monday through Thursday, our clinic performs an average of 55 spay/neuter surgeries. At the end of surgery days, each cat cage and dog kennel must be cleaned and disinfected to welcome the next day’s patients. We rely on our superstar volunteers to clean and disinfect our surgery cages and kennels. We currently need cage cleaners for Mondays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Laundry assistants support our surgery team by helping to keep all of our patients clean, dry, and comfortable. Dogs and cats stay in their own kennels all day, and they like lots of blankets. Sometimes they have accidents. Ooops– more blankets to wash and fold! We currently need laundry assistant volunteers Tuesday through Thursday from 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m., and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Recovery room assistants ensure the day’s surgical instruments are cleaned and sterilized appropriately. We use hundreds of instruments each day including clamps, needle holders, hemostats, Snook hooks, multiple types of forceps, and more each day and they all need to run through the autoclave to kill bacteria and viruses. We currently need recovery room assistant volunteers Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and possibly Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Looking for more of a leadership service experience? We have finance, fundraising, governance, and DEIA committees that are always in need of your professional skills. We also have event committees, and are continually recruiting new board members. Email alyssastarrn@faceanimalclinic.org for more information.
Hold a supply drive for FACE in your workplace, school, faith community, book club, or family! We are always in need of newspaper, paper towels, wet cat food, and squeeze cheese. These items are relatively inexpensive and easy to acquire, but make a HUGE difference in our clinic. These are our most needed items and we love receiving them! Hours for Drop Off – Monday through Thursday – 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Were you unable to attend A Gala for Dogs with us? That’s ok, let us give you a quick recap of the fun!
The gala weather was gorgeous, the music was hopping, and the tails were wagging all night long.
We raised more than $29,000 for FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic! Thanks to so much community generosity and a match from an anonymous donor, we raised $9,277 for the Client Assistance Fund in just three hours! The Client Assistance Fund allows us to provide spay/neuter, vaccination and preventatives to our clients despite financial obstacles. Our CAF is just one of our programs that allows us to keep pets healthy, happy and with their families rather than in shelters.
There were so many good-looking dogs, dressed better than even the humans, that we have to share the photo gallery of Furtography Pet Studio with you! We also have a gallery of candid images from the evening on our Facebook page.
Attendees enjoyed the 50s sounds of The Midtown Mad Men, the food from BB&B Bread Truck, drinks from Sun King and Daniel’s Vineyard, all the activities, and prizes from our sponsors. The excitement of the event left some of our guests dog-tired!
