Every Monday through Thursday our clinic performs an average of 55 spay/neuter surgeries. At the end of surgery days each cat cage and dog kennel must be cleaned and disinfected to welcome the next day’s patients. We rely on our superstar volunteers to clean and disinfect our surgery cages and kennels.
Laundry assistants support our surgery team by helping to keep all of our patients clean, dry, and comfortable. Dogs and cats stay in their own kennels all day, and they like lots of blankets. Sometimes they have accidents. Ooops– more blankets to wash and fold!
Recovery room assistants ensure the day’s surgical instruments are cleaned and sterilized appropriately. We use hundreds of instruments each day including clamps, needle holders, hemostats, Snook hooks, multiple types of forceps, and more each day and they all need to run through the autoclave to kill bacteria and viruses.

The Sniffin’ Snout Walkabout is a dog walk and scavenger hunt on the near eastside of Indianapolis. Participants gather at the FACE clinic before following clues to local businesses for treats and clues to additional destinations. See our photos from the event at this link.
That’s a wrap on Mutt Cup 2026. Visit our Facebook page and view our albums for photos from the evening. Thanks to everyone who made it another success!

We raised more than $76,000 at this year’s Mutt Cup! Your dollars will help us provide the critical spay/neuter and vaccination services that keep pet overpopulation down and reduce unnecessary euthanasia for Indianapolis dogs and cats. We offer you our deepest gratitude for such a wonderful evening.
